The Big 3

Our little Mieka is now 3! We started out her actual birthday with the traditional birthday cake pancakes - candles included. :)

Who knew blowing out 3 candles could be so hard!

We then let her open her presents after church (we're mean like that!). Legos and more legos. YAY! :) Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Sucher! ;) Loads of Veggie Tales movies (her favorite) And, she also got some fun play food and a nifty scooter that she crashed 5 minutes after getting. :) Oh well - scooters aren't meant to be driven in the kitchen. I'm sure she'll do much better down in the basement.

LEGOS! More little things to step on that hurt. :) Just kidding. Our girls love legos!

Beep! Beep! Coming Through!

Veggie Taaaaaales ... Veggie Taaales .... Veggie Taaales .... The song we hear almost daily.

Later that evening, after her special birthday dinner (pasta with pink sauce!) we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Southern's house for the family birthday party. Mieka had a fun cake covered with bugs and got a HUGE doll from grandma and grandpa. Thanks!

Yay! More Bugs!

Over all I think Mieka enjoyed her extravaganza weekend birthday celebrations. :) We are so incredibly thankful to have her in our family! Who would have guessed that we would have such beautiful, intelligent, gentle, and kind little children - huh Jen?
