The Greatest Show on Earth

For part of Mieka's birthday weekend extravaganza we went to the Barnum and Bailey Brother's Circus on Saturday (the 25th of September). We were able to go last year and the girls loved it. They were doing a different show this year with a lot more emphasis on "side show" type acts. It was just as great as last years show though. So much to see that at times you didn't know where to look - there was just so many different things going on.

Dave's favorite was the motorcycles - mine too. They had 7 motorcycles going around this metal cage at the same time.

Yes! Seven motorcycles going at the same time! Crazy!

Annika and Mieka liked the acrobats - but I wasn't able to get very good pictures of those. They both liked the elephants as well - but they came in second after the acrobats. :) In fact, on the way home Annika concocted a plan of how we were going to build a huge trampoline in our back yard that covered the whole yard so that she could practice her trapeze act. :)

How do they get them to do that? Doesn't seem like that's a natural
thing for elephants to do ...
