This picture by the way is a nifty contraption that Dave built for our garbage cans. He put a hook on the garbage can and then ran a rope through it to another hook on the ceiling and then down to the railing. Now I can walk out to the garage stair landing, pull the rope and it will lift the lid so I can throw the garbage in. No more tumbles down the stairs and no more stinky fly invested open lidded garbage cans. Yay! Dave the Builder - yours is superior!

Yay, you made it in a picture! That's an awesome lid-contraption. Our garbage can lives all the way outside on the other side of the garage. Michael carries whatever bags of garbage I've piled up the previous day down to the garbage can in the morning before he heads out to work. Helps that we don't have any poopy diapers any more or anything uber stinky like that.
